ABOUT DISTRICT COURT
Sambhal District is located in western part of Uttar Pradesh. Sambhal was declared as a District on 28 September 2011. The Sambhal District at the time of creation was made from Two Tehsils of Moradabad District and one Tehsil of Gunnaur from Badaun District . The total area of the Sambhal District is 2453.30 Sq. Km. and population 21.9. Lakhs as per Census of 2011. The District Administration headquarter of Sambhal district is presently established in Bahjoi town of Chandausi Tehsil. Sambhal has several places of religious and cultural significance. The Kaila Devi temple has a long history. Mother Kaila has two temples in the country. First in Rajasthan and the other in the Bhanga area of Sambhal. Here in the Navaratri it is said that the Goddess Darshan of the lion is coming. The banyan tree located in the temple premises is also of great significance. It is said that this banyan tree is seven hundred years old.
On 5 September 2017 it was declared by Government that the District and Session Courts for Sambhal District will be established in Chandausi. Munsif courts were functional in Sambhal and Chandausi as part of Moradabad district for approximately over 130 years.[...]
